Bukola Saraki Linked to offa robbery; Buhari Agrees To His Arrest

President Muhammadu   Buhari   on Friday said he had no objections to any plan by the police to arrest Senate President Bukola   Saraki   over a string of murder cases in Kwara State, PREMIUM TIMES has learnt. The president received Inspector-General Ibrahim Idris at the State House on Friday afternoon, during which he was told of at least 20 murders allegedly linked to Mr   Saraki in his home state, according to multiple sources briefed of the meeting. Sources said the police chief arrived at the State House with a cornucopia of homicide investigation documents relating to Mr   Saraki. The top lawmaker could be arrested any day from now following the president’s position that the law should run its course insofar as detectives have sufficient facts to file charges. Already, the police have declared Mr   Sarakia person of interest in the deadly robbery incident in Offa, the second-largest settlement in Kwara State. A 35-year-old mother identified as Mrs. Chika Okoye with her son, Samuel, and his friend, Dan Abah, have been arrested by the operatives of Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps in Nasarawa State for examination malpractice. The sober mother who spoke to newsmen after her arrest, revealed that she hired Abah to write her son’s matriculation exam because her son couldn’t get admitted for many years. “We couldn’t get admission for many years so I became frustrated; he was also frustrated and nobody is helping us. “I have other children who have graduated but for the past four years or more now, he (Samuel) has failed to pass the exams, so I became frustrated.” “So, I asked his friend to help him to write the exams, I told him I will give him something but I know it is a very bad thing. Offa robbery: Police retreats, asks Saraki to respond via statement The Nigeria Police seem to have soft-pedaled on its alleged onslaught against Senate President, Bukola Saraki over its ongoing probe into the Offa Bank robbery in Kwara. The Police had on Sunday asked Saraki to turn himself in for questioning over the incident. Force spokesman, Jimoh Moshood, while parading the suspects, stated that the former Kwara governor and the incumbent, Abdulfatah Ahmed were indicted. Fake Lawyer arrested while trying to get bail for Client

A fake lawyer identified as Mr. Uche Julian Nwajiakwu, was recently arrested while trying to get bail for his client. Mr. Nwajiakwu, who has been impersonating as a lawyer since 2015 stated that he fell in love with law practice when a friend of his commissioned him to act as a lawyer in order to serve his tenant a quit notice. He was handsomely rewarded after the deed and since then, he started practicing the profession. It was gathered that he was arguing on a bail application for his client when intelligent lawyers in the court suspected him. The lawyers said his quackery was too obvious to be ignored. Upon further police investigation, it turned out that the suspect did not study law in any of the Nigerian universities nor anywhere else in the world. He has since been charged to Ojo Magistrate Court for the criminal offense of impersonation. Sunday

Comedian Basketmouth recently had a session with a South African based psychic medium to connect with his late mum. Sunday The psychic however revealed way more than the comedian bargained for, including that he could have had a second son. The Psychic asked him how many children he has and Basketmouth said he has three kids, but two with his wife. The Psychic further asked how many male kids he has and he said 1, but she told him she was connecting to two boys. She asked if his wife had a miscarriage and Basketmouth’s throat tightened with emotion and he went silent.
