  The Nigerian Naira has hit an all time low in 48 years after trading for 545/$ in parallel markets on Thursday September 9.    Confirming the development, parallel market and bureau de change (BDC) traders disclosed that the Naira is falling rapidly against the greenback.  British pound on the other hand, was trading at N740 across the same markets. This is coming after the Central Bank of Nigeria announced it would no longer sell forex to BDC traders.   It was reported earlier that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is working with the CBN to rein in on banks who are found selling forex for unauthorised reasons.   See some comments on the development below...

  A Nigerian couple have welcomed a set of twins after 14 years of marriage.    The couple dedicated their children at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Idu-Karmo, Abuja on Sunday, August 29.  The resident pastor of DIGC, Idu-Karmo, Benshep Obed shared photos from the dedication and thanksgiving service. 

  A young Nigerian lady reportedly left her teaching job and now drives commercial tricycle, locally known as ‘keke napep’, to make ends meet. According to the University of Calabar graduate, she took up a teaching job after she graduated but the pay was meager so she decided to venture into driving commercial tricycle. When one of her passenger who was impressed with her spoken English asked why she took up the job despite being learned, she revealed that working as a keke driver is more lucrative than the teaching job she took up after graduation.   A Nigerian couple, Olanrewaju and Helen Bello have welcomed a set of triplets after 9 years of marriage.    Taking to Facebook, Mrs Bello revealed that she faced name-calling and insults during the years of waiting.    "After many years of waiting, many years of name calling, many years of insults I overcome and overtake.   Relationship expert,  Blessing Okoro  has disclosed that her ex-husband physically abused her and made her believe it was part of love. Taking to her Instagram page blessing revealed she stayed in an abusive marriage for over four years before she eventually summoned courage to leave. Without mincing words, Ayinke attributed her curse to the category of people who deceive other people by acting like they’re single when they actually aren’t.   A Nigerian lady has been left devastated and heartbroken after the boyfriend she made sacrifices for, dumped her for someone else. According to the lady, she slept with the CEO of an Insurance company to help her then boyfriend secure a job. However, after he became gainfully employed and stable, he dumped her and said he cannot marry her because she is the only educated person in her family, hence he is worried that responsibilities would be too much for him. It is commo n knowledge that some hospitals and health centers give out condoms for free, whereas sanitary pads are sold at exorbitant prices to women. Fortunately, different brands have been springing up in the country with affordable sanitary pads. In a bid to advocate for sanitary pads to be completely free for young girls and women, Ubi Franklin took to his Instagram page to share his thoughts. A Nigerian girl has confessed that her mother reportedly gave her rat poison to put in her father’s food. The young girl who identified her mother as  Chinwendu Ngolo  from Ehime Mbano in Imo state, disclosed that her mother’s plan was to kill her father. She reportedly put the poison in her father’s food, however, she told him about her mother’s plan before serving him the food. When asked why she told her father, the young girl disclosed that she loves him. Upon interrogation, the girl’s mother denied the allegation, claiming that she doesn’t know where her daughter got the poison.  Veteran actress, Patience Ozokwo, has expressed sadness over the demise of her friend and colleague, Rachel Oniga who sadly passed away today July 31 after a short battle with a heart-related ailment.   Patience who has been heartbroken by the news of her demise, shared a video online as she wept over the sad news. She recounted how Rachel was a great friend and colleague to her, and apologized for not calling the actress while she was ill.
